A big thank you everyone that supported the St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital Charity Walk/Run through monetary donations, by attending the walk in DC, or by walking virtually from wherever you were across the nation! We had an excellent turn out in-person despite the rain. In addition to having a lot of FUN, we set a goal to raise as much money as we could to support the children’s health research and free medical care offered through St. Jude, and together we raised over $14,000!! That was no small feat! Gunnison was honored as the First Place Fundraising Team in Washington D.C.!!! Congratulations to all the impressive fundraisers!

Gunnison has enjoyed partnering with AWC on multiple programs to support low-income families in the DC-area, providing food, toiletries, school supplies, work supplies, clothes, and more.

Gunnison employees volunteer at food bank distribution events throughout the year, and have raised over $5000 to support providing good, healthy food to families struggling with hunger and food insecurity in Maryland, DC and Virginia.

Gunnison has raised ~$9,000 for the NAACP Empowerment Programs Inc. and NAACP Legal Defense and Educational Fund, Inc. These non-profits are key to providing training, educating, and advocacy for equal right for all in American, and fighting for racial justice in the American justice system.

Gunnison sponsors charitable events across the nation to support non-profits active in helping our community such as PRS, Homestretch, Ivy Vine Charity, One Warm Coat, Martha’s Table and Catholic Coalition for Special Education.

Gunnison supports the important work of Teachers and Staff in local school systems by donating funds, sponsoring Teacher Appreciation events, donating School Supplies, and volunteering at Career Fairs. Donations are targeted towards Title I schools and other schools supporting low-income families to make an impact in the communities that need it most.

Gunnison partners with employees in the charities they care about most by matching personal donations made to nonprofit organizations.

Once a year, Gunnison participates in a large scale charitable event such as a Charity Walk or Habit for Humanity building project.

Each year, Gunnison chooses a community in the DC Metro Area to target quarterly events and corporate monetary donations, teaming with existing organizations and schools in the community.
