Gunnison delivers enterprise Cybersecurity Support Services (CSS) to the US Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) under a 5-year, $115M single-award prime contract. Under this engagement, Gunnison’s workforce of 150 cyber professionals executes a complex set of tasks that enable HHS to achieve key initiatives and objectives to enhance, mature, improve, and strengthen information security.

Gunnison provides experienced, responsive, and reliable capabilities throughout HHS, including:

  • Cybersecurity technical, incident response and investigation support subject matter expertise, tactical management, and day to day operational staff.
  • Cybersecurity and privacy policy, process, procedures, governance, compliance, training, workforce management, risk management capability subject matter expertise, tactical management, and day to day operational staff.
  • Subject matter expertise for developing program strategy, tactical planning, executive communications, and stakeholder engagement workforce, while aligning industry standards with government legislation, regulations, directives, and mandates to create a cohesive cybersecurity and privacy strategic plan with tactical operational objectives.
  • Information technology project management workforce with subject matter expertise in cybersecurity and privacy innovation, engineering, architecture, and design support.

Gunnison provides experts to support the OCISO in providing leadership to drive maturing and quality services in accordance with federal mandates and legislation; deliver services and support Project Management to support the HHS cybersecurity mission; and execute services and support in the delivery of Governance, Risk Management, and Compliance (GRC) services.

HHS is one of only seven Federal agencies designated as a Center of Excellence represented by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), and endorsed by the Office of Management and Budget (OMB), to support any federal agency requiring assistance in developing certification & accreditation packages in accordance with federal requirements. Toward that end, Gunnison provides Enterprise Security Services to other agencies on behalf of HHS.

Gunnison supports the Office of Privacy and Information Management (PIM), a division under the HHS Office of Information Security (OIS), which includes the Department and Office of the Secretary (OS) privacy programs.

Gunnison provides resources and expert personnel to execute the complex mission of the HHS Cybersecurity Operations Center Support Services and deliver 24x7x365 Computer Security Incident Response Capability for the HHS enterprise.

Gunnison provides expert personnel, resources, and services to deploy, operate, administer, troubleshoot, update, secure, and maintain all OCISO systems, software, and infrastructure. Gunnison is responsible for all aspects of the STIM mission lifecycle to include:

  • Architecture, Solutioning, and Deployment Planning
  • Installation
  • Operations and Maintenance (O&M)
  • Cyber Security Infrastructure Management
  • Cybersecurity Networks and Systems Administration
  • HHS Security Data Warehouse (HSDW)
  • Cybersecurity Architect Support
