About GAP
Gunnison Consulting Group is a top-tier and growing company with a superb reputation of providing highly qualified and seasoned talent for all our projects. However, finding engineers that possess the combination of skills and experience is a challenge. The GAP program was developed to fill this need. Service members participating in the DoD SkillBridge Program are an excellent match for Gunnison Consulting Group’s GAP program.
About the training
Our GAP training is comprised of two phases:
- Phase one is a vendor curriculum that includes online training, labs, and certification exams.
- Phase two is expanded hands-on real-world training in our lab under the tutelage of a Gunnison Senior Engineer.

As a DoD SkillBridge partner, Gunnison Consulting Group offers training for a variety of specialized Information Technology learning paths.
Training Cost – Free!
Gunnison Consulting Group covers 100% of training costs for transitioning service members who are selected for the GAP program.

Personal Leave
1-3 years of service: 3 weeks accrued per year
4-9 years of service : 4 weeks accrued per year
10+ years of service: 5 weeks accrued per year
Flexible Time Off
40 hours per year total, hours processed on January 1st and July 1st or pro-rated based on start date (use or lose)
Holidays
11 holidays per year (use or lose)
Able to bank holiday time within the quarter if you work excess hours in a time period
Referral Bonus and Professional Development Program
Employee Referral Program ($2000 bonus for referring a candidate who is hired and stays with Gunnison for at least 6 months).
$2500 annual benefit for training, certifications, and conferences – on January 1st. This training benefit can also be used for leadership training.

401(k) Benefit
401(k) is a great savings plan. You are automatically enrolled at a 6% deferral.
You have the option to opt-out or change your deferral at any time. Gunnison’s match starts on day 1 of your participation and we match 50% up to 10% of your deferral. For 2024, you can contribute up to $23,000 with the catch up staying at $7,500 for 50+.
