Dr. Renato A. DiPentima, former CEO of SRA International, joins the Board of Directors at Gunnison Consulting Group
Alexandria, VA; February 19, 2020 – Gunnison Consulting Group, Inc. (“Gunnison”), a leader in software development, data analytics, and enterprise system testing for U.S. Federal Government customers announced today that Dr. Renato “Renny” DiPentima has joined the Company’s Board of Directors.
Renny was formerly the Deputy Commissioner and Chief Information Officer at the Social Security Administration before joining SRA International. During his time at SRA, Renny helped to take SRA through an IPO (NYSE ticker “SRX”) and while serving as CEO, grew the business to over $1 billion in revenue.

Dr. DiPentima has served as Chairman of the Federal Information Technology Acquisition Improvement Team, as part of the President’s National Performance Review initiatives. He has been honored with numerous awards, including two Presidential Rank awards (Distinguished and Meritorious Service), as well as “CIO of the Year” during both his public sector and private sector tenures.
In addition, Renny serves on the Board of Directors of Capgemini Government Solutions LLC, and as an independent director for Amida Technology Solutions. He previously served on the Board of Directors of Brocade Communication Systems, Inc. (Nasdaq: BRCD) prior to its $5.5 billion sale to Broadcom (NASDAQ: AVGO), and the Advisory Board of Red Hat, Inc. prior to its $34 billion sale to IBM (NYSE: IBM).
Renny graduated with a B.A. from New York University, an M.A. from George Washington University and a Ph.D. from the University of Maryland. He has also completed the Program for Senior Managers at Harvard University’s John F. Kennedy School of Government.
