Fairfax, VA – March 24, 2023 – Gunnison Consulting Group, Inc. (“Gunnison”) is proud to share that our team has helped the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) achieve the highest rating of an A on its latest Federal Information Technology Acquisition Reform Act (FITARA) scorecard.
The FITARA scorecard, released biannually, is a breakdown of each agency’s FITARA grade. By releasing a grade for each agency, the FITARA committee can hold each agency accountable for achieving the requirements listed in Office of Management and Budget (OMB) Memorandum M-15-14.
FITARA, passed by Congress in December 2014, and later updated by OMB, introduced Chief Information Officer (CIO) authority enhancements aimed at strengthening CIO oversight and visibility of IT resources. FITARA provides guidance to all agencies on Federal IT policies and ensures that the law is applied equally and effectively.
Our Gunnison and Federal FITARA team support and collaborate with SAMHSA stakeholders to ensure that we respond to quarterly data calls in a timely manner and consistently report cost avoidances and savings.
